Glaukos Corporation has completed patient enrollment in its Phase 2 study of GLK-321, an investigational cream-based formulation of physostigmine delivered through the company’s iLution transdermal eyelid platform, for the treatment of Demodex blepharitis. The randomized, double-masked, placebo-controlled trial enrolled 275 patients across U.S. sites and is evaluating three dose levels, with the primary endpoint measuring elimination of collarettes after six weeks of treatment.
Glaukos Corporation has entered into a licensing agreement with Attillaps Holdings, granting Glaukos a global exclusive license to research, develop, manufacture and commercialize Attillaps’ proprietary library of investigational pharmaceutical compounds targeting the eradication of Demodex mites — the root cause of Demodex blepharitis and associated ophthalmic diseases.
